According to Wikipedia:

Faith is confidence or trust in a person or thing; or the observation of an obligation from loyalty; or fidelity to a person, promise, engagement, or a belief not based on proof, or it may refer to a particular system of religious belief such as in which faith is confidence based on some degree of warrant the term 'faith' has numerous connotations and is used in different ways, often depending on context.

Faith is the opposite of doubt.

Faith is possibly the single-most important element in the Christian life.
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6(ESV)
Our proximity to God drives
our activity for God

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1(NIV)
I know that by having faith I know God keeps his promises and he will always provide for me. Through faith I have strength and courage to deal with anything that comes my way.

I use to see things as impossible now with my complete faith in God I know all things are possible.

This past week I was introduced to James. Yes, that's right James, the half brother to Jesus. WOW!!!! A little change on my thinking.

Do you have faith?

How did you answer that? Did you say 'Yes' ok so not to make you doubt yourself, however, I am going to ask the question again.

Do you have faith? now just take a moment to re-think about that.

James, he talks of many different ways of looking at faith. I have to say I was a little discouraged at how James put this all together. So much in fact I have read through it 3 times and I am still a little discouraged, so I will read it again.

We all can say we have faith. We all do, right? I have faith in myself that
  1. I will make a mistake somewhere
  2. I will ask God to forgive me
  3. I may not keep a handle on my tongue (more than not it will be a thought)
  4. Will I be patient
Is my faith Genuine?

Genuine faith can transform lives. Tame your tongue. Don't just reword what you say - make sure it is what God wants you to say.
So also, the tongue is a small thing, but what enormous damage it can do. A tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is full of wickedness that can ruin your whole life. It can turn the entire course of your life into a blazing flame of destruction, for it is set on fire by hell itself. James 3:5-6 (NIV)
I have a friend very very dear to me. Her mother had said some not nice comments, her comments created actions from others. Needless to say my friend, now was no longer caring for her children. This was many many years ago, that hard part now is that my friend just found out that her mother did this. Yes, her mom told her, however, I know that really does hurt. Now not to lead by example of what her mom did she is seeking to lead by example of Jesus. To continue to stay in faith with him. I want to say this just to you my friend:
By faith through Gods grace, we are forgiven. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ we receive the gift of faith. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

Faith Deep from inside you.

Ever feel like you are having a Heart Attack?
A Spiritual Heart Attack?

You maybe struggling with:
*want what you don't have

When Faith is NOT working
Signs of NOT trusting God

* Hurtful words
* Jealousy - selfishness
* Pleasure Seeking
* Pride & Judgment
* Material & Greed

And the person who keeps all of the laws expect one is as guilty as the person who has broken all of Gods laws. So whatever we say or do we are being judged. God shows us Mercy as long as we are merciful to others. James 2:10
I know that I could go on and on and on. I want to ask another question

How do you get close to God?
"BC" Before Christ
     Location:  Church or place of worship                                        Purification

I love attending church. I realized today that I would love to be at church more often. I don't feel that I get the full "GOD" that I need.

Faith has made me really think about me and where my faith is. We all fall and we just get right back up and continue on. We ask God for our forgiveness. I know that I also pray that I won't be that .....thinking of not nice things or stuff.
Why don't you have what you want? Didn't ask for it with the right motive. James 4:2-3
My main focus needs to be my proximity to God for that will drive my activity towards God.
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, you hypocrites. James 4:7-8
